Ordered several pieces of article of furniture for delivery. Commitment process was a clown testify nightmare. In one case you lot go through hassle of ironing out the delivery appointment and timeframe window online, y'all are also, apparently, expected to be on standby, waiting by the phone, for a verification phone call. If yous do not answer the automated phone call from a non descriptive number, they volition not brand the commitment. They will not leave a message. You are expected to be at their beck and call.

They do not empathise that people are working, balancing other priorities. Attempts to call back the outsourced delivery service IKEA uses was fruitless. Sat on agree for an hour before I finally gave up. Calls to the IKEA client service line were answered just unhelpful. The customer service reps that answered sounded every bit frustrated, and beat down, like they had heard a similar story from countless other customers. I highly recommend IKEA ditches the disaster delivery service they utilize and get a real one. I would have been better off strapping the article of furniture to the roof of my mini van and getting it dwelling myself.

IKEA is the best place to get things if you lot like putting it together yourself the fact that they have had reviews of "Falling over dressers" well my opinion is y'all should of used the strap that comes with information technology to secure it to the WALL... I have a bedroom set up for about xvi yrs and NOT once accept I had ANY problems with it tipping over. Of course I also don't have or didn't allow my kids to climb on article of furniture.

I finally was able to buy a firm after xl+ years. On a modest budget, I decided to go to IKEA for new furniture. I ordered cabinets and a countertop for a new custom kitchen island, and a sofa. I was able to get the island components delivered to my new business firm, but non the sofa. Instead, I had to have the sofa delivered to a different address, and then go a U-Haul to ship it to my firm. All because the shop told me I should accept gone to a different store that would accept really taken me manner longer to drive to.

The day before the sofa was to arrive, the 3rd party shipping company, Select Limited, chosen me to ostend. I told them my conundrum. They looked upwardly my address and said it would non be a problem or whatever additional charge to get the sofa to my firm - they need needed an email from IKEA stating the change. I called IKEA customer service multiple times (later the call was asunder twice) - by the 3rd fourth dimension, someone told me it shouldn't be a problem either. But subsequently being put on concur for over 10 min, she finally came back on and said a manager would not approve it, because once again, I "should have gone to some other store."

I am an Ikea family member and too take an Ikea credit card. I e'er savour shopping at Ikea. I have several pieces of article of furniture from the store. When I moved here I bought chest of drawers, beds, bookcases, cupboards, tabular array, chairs, etc. The bed was damaged during shipment only they rapidly replaced information technology and fifty-fifty reimbursed me for the shipping which was groovy. I love eating breakfast there and then shopping. Sometimes I even stay for their Swedish meatballs lunches.

I had purchased a kitchen cabinet and cancelled the club before delivery. I was told I'd receive a refund of $560 as soon as their delivery truck returned it to their distribution heart. That was over a week ago. Since then, I've tried multiple times (at least 4 times a day) to contact client service. I'm beginning to think IKEA's customer service consists of one person who works between the hours of 9:00am-9:01, 12:17pm-12:17:45pm. If y'all phone call IKEA'south customer service, programme on being on concur for hours (no joke) until you finally give up. I will never practise shop at this shop once again due to their terrible customer service. You've been warned.

The store is impressive and the layout of the store walks the consumer effectually all of what Ikea has to offer. Sales staff is helpful and gives the phrase "softsale" a whole new meaning. That said out of 5 items ordered 3 were damaged, 1 missing and 1 was acceptable. Afterwards paying to take the trade picked delivered and then assembled I had to get replacement parts. They arrived damaged. The ane particular missing they gave a fractional credit! The item nosotros kept for a 15% discount we never got the discount, overall a very bad showing for Ikea!!!

Nosotros were hesitant to go with Ikea for our recent couch buy but the price was much better than others and decided to get for it. At first nosotros attempted to add our custom couch to our online cart but it did non work as some of the pieces were unavailable though it wouldn't tell you which ones which required us to go through every piece to effigy it out. Nosotros saw many of the pieces allegedly available in our shop and went back to endeavor to go whatever pieces we could at that place and order the residual online. Those pieces were not in store but we were able to talk to a customer service rep who went through every piece and plant many were changing product numbers and was able to piece the whole couch together with the erstwhile and new product numbers and schedule a commitment for the states.

Delivery window assigned the twenty-four hour period before for x-2. We got a telephone call around 12:15 saying the truck was betwixt 5-30 min abroad, sure enough ten min afterwards they arrived. Unloaded everything, nothing missing, zilch damaged and they were quite quick with the many boxes. All and all after figuring out the ordering with a very helpful customer service rep, everything was very smoothen from the in store social club to delivery. Pleasantly surprised with our experience and would certainly recommend our local shop/delivery.

IKEA offers an astonishing option of contemporary Danish furniture at very affordable prices. It is a good place to explore the aisles and get inspiration on modern décor. Non only do they offer furniture, they take a great selection of accessories for the unabridged house, such as bedding, kitchen and bath supplies. I find the shop to exist very inspirational for a mod contemporary home.

Ikea has ZERO business concern for the customers! I paid for delivery and associates and they damaged the wardrobe. When I got the replacement (after 3 appointment attempts they screwed up - aka I waited habitation for nothing.) They finally replaced the wardrobe just damaged one of the door-handles. Worst of all is that they left the HUGE DAMAGED wardrobe behind! In my tiny NYC apartment, in the middle of my hallway, leaving me 4 inches to pass. A liability and a burn down adventure! Non to mention that they wouldn't motility it so I had to! That is what I paid them for!! So I wouldn't have to strain my back.

Later seven boosted attempts to have the damaged wardrobe removed, Ikea keeps screwing upwards the engagement, fifty-fifty giving me appointment times randomly that I never agreed to. I emailed their CEOs, overseas and US and they literally could care less. At present that I rescheduled my life vii boosted times to get this huge garbage removed from my flat, they are telling me I have to wait (9-6) nonetheless once more and that is my just pick! Ikea clearly hates their customers or they would have ownership and get this done without making me take however more time off from piece of work and wait around for nothing. I accept goose egg confidence this next scheduled pickup will really happen. WORST CUSTOMER (NON) SERVICE I Take Always EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE. ABSOLUTE WORST!!!

The worst customer service I've experienced in my life has been with Ikea several times over the last few weeks. Advertised discounts not honored, items out of stock that are listed online equally in stock at my local store, lacking parts that they've asked me to bend over backwards to replace. So many issues, then many items out of stock but not listed equally so, so many wasted trips to the local store (2.5 hours circular trip from my house each time).

When I go to buy online instead of driving to the shop again, they turn down to waive the $100 shipping fee. However they won't let me purchase my entire order at in one case and suit for pick up at one time either. I've spent a significant amount of money at this store over the past several weeks, but whenever I contact them with an issue they say "sorry for the inconvenience, let us know if nosotros can assist with anything else". What is going on? A global company that cannot find a solution for a customer who is buying a whole new kitchen and sleeping accommodation storage setup. I would recommend avoiding IKEA if you tin.

I received a voicemail today at 11:54 stating the delivery truck was exterior my home. They would wait 15 minutes and if I didn't 'arrive' they would get out and reschedule. At 11:56 I received a call stating my delivery would arrive between x am-2 pm today (note it was already 11:56). I pressed yes to ostend delivery but as well waited and spoke with a customer representative. Very long story short, they said the delivery company attempted delivery but due to a road closure they couldn't reach my neighborhood. I immediately jumped into my car and drove out of our neighborhood to the primary route.

Imagine this, no construction anywhere, let alone a road closure. They gave me American Logistics (the delivery company they use) number to call. Another long story short, they refused to come back, still stating the road was closed, and since they only deliver on Fridays I would accept to expect until next week. I do similar IKEA's products, simply will NEVER order on-line again. And not to mention, they accuse $99 for the worst delivery service ever! Shame on IKEA for not monitoring their commitment department more closely.

My handicapped full-time student girl used her debit card to purchase a $500 sofa from the Brooklyn shop location on 13th Baronial 2018. To date (11th April 2019), she even so has non received her sofa or a refund EIGHT MONTHS later. This is despite numerous attempts past her and now past me. I'm trying to 'fight her corner' from England with zilch from IKEA apart from CSC Afterlife, oops, I mean Aftersales, with 'apologies' but no explanation. I know these staff members are given a script to refer to, but their responses have been full of untruths and excrement. I volition exist contacting the Federal Trade Commission next. How many other people has IKEA ripped off? and I don't hateful just the vulnerable customers. Shocking. Icky. Unacceptable. Illegal. IKEA doesn't even deserve 1 star but that'due south the merely way I could go on with this review.

My lodge has nevertheless not been delivered properly. The original club date was March 15 to be sent to my parents' address because my dad is retired and would be there to sign. She gave me the delivery fee back, but when I asked for a manager or supervisor to explicate this and get some sort of disbelieve or anything really for all of the trouble, she said the managing director would only give the commitment fee back. So I said okay and verified with her the dresser would be coming to my Flat address. She said yes and they would call me when it's existence delivered.

Now it is April 1 and I am however waiting for the dresser and take non received one call saying it will be delivered soon. This has been such a terrible feel. I won't exist buying from IKEA over again and highly recommend non using their delivery services only based on my own feel. When I spoke to customer service the 2d time, the lady was prissy only made it seem similar errors are quite common. If I don't get the dresser by this Friday I volition be asking for a refund and will take it every bit a lesson to only never gild from in that location once more. Ordered no. ** Dubai. Delivery took identify in sealed box. Several items from the order were missing and logged a complaint. Ikea discontinued their Akurum Kitchen line in 2015. They did not stock any replacement products and tin't honor their warranty!!! And then if you accept a defect in your kitchen cabinets they can't supervene upon any parts for them under warranty. Leaving the client with no recourse. The case tin go to a Resolution Team that is hell aptitude NOT TO PAY You the fair amount that is supposed to be covered nether warranty. The company knew this line had a lot of defects and discounted the cabinets and under simulated pretense and is non able to make replacement parts on the cabinets! If y'all do fight this Ikea has hired a 3rd party visitor to come to your home and evaluate the impairment.

Of form the party will try and dispute your claim for some artificial reason then Ikea volition endeavour and pay you far less for the defective detail. I did not become through this procedure because they try and stretch the fourth dimension you lot wait forever. When I tried to pursue my claim further they wanted me to sign a document that I would have to relinquish my Lifetime Limited Kitchen Warranty and they would pay more than.

Unfortunately the cabinets cannot be replaced past a 3rd party because they can't be exactly duplicated to match the finish that is unique to Ikea cabinets only! I recently checked and have seen thousands of complaints from dissatisfied customers from the national Better Business Bureau. Ikea has a better reputation in Europe than information technology has in the United States. I run across from the reviews that customers are discussing a Class Action Lawsuit!

Nosotros went to Ikea because we have a pocket-sized kitchen and wanted to utilise the space the all-time we could which is what Ikea is known for. 1) They measured the kitchen wrong, 2) They sold us wrong pieces, 3) Nosotros had to waste product a ton of cabinet space considering they measured wrong, 3) They installed the wrong pieces, 4) they put cabinet hardware over the tape on the cabinets used to protect them during shipping (none of the tape was removed prior to installation and now most of it can't be without taking everything apart), we had to take several trips to the store (which is 35 miles away) to return and commutation pieces.

I couldn't sentinel the installers every second so it was as well late to go back and have out the wrong pieces (and remove the tape) without taking the entire kitchen apart. We lost so much space it'due south unbelievable. The guy who came out to mensurate didn't have a clue. The person at the store ordered LOTS of wrong parts. HORRID, HORRID, HORRID.

Ikea has many skilful things going for it. I like their products and their prices simply if you should crave customer service or assistance from their IT department you may be in for trouble. I spent several hours in the store selecting the appurtenances to furnish a ii bedroom apartment that had tenants moving in in 6 days. The people at the shop told me that I should place the gild online and I would get commitment much faster. Stupidly, I accepted their advice. Subsequently spending nearly 2 hours inbound the purchase info in I was informed that I must log in to go further. After attempting to log in numerous times without success, I called customer service. Not but did I have to re-enter all the info, the system would non allow me to fill up out the required forms to make the purchase. I called client service again and THIS is where my nightmare began.

Information technology took several hours to resolve that problem only I was finally able to log in and proceed with my purchase. Just NOOOOO!! Without going into all the detail I will only say that I spent over seven HOURS on the phone attempting to resolve the matter. This ended with me finally talking to a supervisor who listened to me and promised someone from the IT dept. would call me the next day. You guessed it. No call, no electronic mail, no nothing. I called customer service again and again and again, past now I have already spoken to half of India, and after spending another 1.5 hours on the phone was told that if I wanted the merchandise I would need to go to the store (about a six hour bulldoze for me) and gild it in that location because I could not speak to It and they could not help me.

This has been a nightmare of the first proportions and if I weren't in such a critical situation, I would NEVER to go an Ikea shop once more. Oh yeah, I had a very similar experience a yr and a half ago with them and got the same empty apologies and excuses. I notice whole experience remarkable for a multi-billion dollar company to have such a poorly designed website and poorly organized client service department. I doubt this review will have much bear upon on one of the most popular retailers in the world but I can merely tell my story and let you determine if this is a legitimate complaint or hot air. BUYER BEWARE!

They will close your credit card without whatever reasons! I have credit score 800+ and they have closed my IKEA® Visa® credit card. Right after 2 weeks I've opened it with excuses of 'excessive inquiries'! That is not-sense! Comenity Bank is the worse business I've ever dealed in The states. Don't even recollect well-nigh getting CC from this bank.

IKEA has nice products, not always at good price not to say sometimes expensive for the quality BUT the worse function is their after sale service policy which is not open-door. They simply intendance to sell the products & do not intendance well-nigh the afterwards sale service. I wonder how many more years this visitor can survive without proper customer services. Of course they have a "Contact us" "post us" options only no one will never respond to yous. For example, 2-3 weeks back, I wrote them complaining almost the repair of my reclining chair. I was moving and bought 3 every bit is sofas for an incredible price! I asked IKEA to shop them for me until I moved. I paid for storage and commitment. But IKEA did not evangelize the items and now they have lost them. I accept had to phone three times to discover this. I am so disappointed. Conspicuously the sofas exist somewhere merely IKEA can't be bothered to locate them. They say they will refund me the money. I purchased a mattress from IKEA iii weeks agone, in function because they have a 365 solar day render policy. I wrote a lengthy alphabetic character to the GM of the South Philadelphia IKEA branch. To this day nearly a year later on, I've not heard from him nor anyone else at IKEA regarding my unsatisfactory shopping experience. I've reached out repeatedly to him, resending my letter of the alphabet, calling customer service, etc etc. DO Not BUY from IKEA. If anything goes wrong in any capacity with something purchased, skillful luck. They are a consummate joke with any type of responsiveness.

I ordered a bed online on the 21 Feb 2019 to be delivered on 28 Feb 2019, which all paperwork confirmed that it would be delivered on the 28th February 2019. On 28 Feb I received a Tracking code for a transport company Toll advising the delivery was due on the fourth March. When I rang Customer Service a very rude person named Tim told me that I was wrong and that I would not have whatsoever paperwork that said it would be delivered on the 28th Feb 2019 that all their paperwork said estimated commitment date. I had the paperwork printed and in my hand and it clearly said Delivery Date: 28 Feb 2019. When he connected to be rude, I asked to speak to his Supervisor he refused to transfer the call and told me I had no choice I had to wait.

When I called dorsum to speak to another person in Customer Service I was told that they could non mitt out the number of the Supervisor and they could not transfer me and they could not provide me with the number of the caput office so I could assess them of the poor service I was existence dealt. I have been an Ikea customer for many years and accept spent a lot of money with them. They have at present lost my business organisation entirely.

I ordered an ASKVOLL 2-drawer chest on January 15. The receipt noted that the items would be received by January 21. Two weeks later the supposed delivery date, I called to follow upwardly on the order as I had not received any follow-up communication from IKEA. I was passed from one person to another earlier they told me that it was a shipping glitch and I would receive the social club soon. Two weeks afterwards I had still not received the order and over again, in that location was NO follow upwards communication, and then I chosen again. Once once more, I was passed from i person to some other before they explained that the items were on back club and would exist shipped as soon as they were dorsum in the warehouse.

Today is February 27. Again, I have received my order and there has been no follow up communication. So, I called one time once again. I again was shuffled from one person to another before I was told that the items had been shipped on January 18 and FedEx had not followed through with commitment. The client service/resolution section stated they would re-gild the items and I would have them in 5 - 7 business days. I am confident this is not a FEDEX outcome. I accept never had a trouble like this with whatsoever other company, nor with FEDEX. IKEA has a serious and significant customer service trouble that needs to be addressed. If these items were non matching items, accompanying something nosotros had already purchased, I would have canceled this order long ago. Needless to say, I will NEVER order from IKEA again.

2 separate orders in 2 days and each one has something missing from information technology, ane being our baby crib. Y'all then call IKEA & they state their call volume is loftier, then you're asunder. You lot try to practice an online complaint & they accept all kinds of info you have to fill up out with one-half of information technology non even existence available on any blazon of paperwork you lot've received. I learned to printing a dissimilar number than what you're wanting & you'll finally go connected to someone who can assistance. Now I'm stuck waiting vii-xiv business organization days hoping my crib will be delivered. I took a day off for this delivery losing money & they could intendance less... A sales representative sold us the wrong bed base for our bed and at present IKEA states nosotros have to pay a return fee/pick up fee for them to collect the wrong base and a commitment fee for the correct item to exist delivered. I have to pay double for i of their mistakes!

I placed a $3K in-store (Pittsburgh, PA) guild 2/7/19 and, because they were heavy items, requested delivery. I first explicitly asked the Ikea rep if the commitment service would evangelize the items to the bedroom (2nd floor) where they would exist assembled. She indicated that the commitment service would exercise then. The company chosen with a delivery window and again about thirty min. from my house - which was great - but the two men would not take the boxes to the bedroom. I of the men said "Lady, nosotros own't taking these up no steps. Nosotros're putting them in the first dry out room nearest the door."

So, now I accept to pay someone to conduct the boxes upstairs and so that they can be assembled, as they are too heavy for me to carry. My endeavour to contact IKEA was unsuccessful - only got a message that in that location were also many customer service calls and to try over again. I'm going to try to contact them afterward this evening to get return of some of delivery fee. Bottom line...if you don't have to utilise commitment service for IKEA... Don't!

I was given a gift card as a birthday present. I had just moved countries to Italy and the card was mislaid in the clearing up. IKEA very kindly replaced the card Merely after having to wait ONE YEAR to make sure nobody had used it (air enough). Milan IKEA legal department replaced this card towards the finish of last year (2018) and I have been trying since then to activate the card. I am existence sent from i email address to some other, 7 so far, even equally far as the U.s.a. and NOBODY, Just NOBODY is helping me. Does everyone have any suggestions. I desire to purchase appurtenances but not unless I can employ this card.

Place an order in-store on February 14 and insisted it was for commitment and assembly. On February 16, 2 people show at the scheduled time and announce they volition assemble only one of 6 pieces of piece of furniture. They also stated they were non certified IKEA assemblers. I had to bulldoze back to the store (Live Oak) considering there was no answer on the phone number provided and there was a message to visit the website, then await 48-72 hours for a respond.

In the shop, two employees fix the order, charge a new amount for associates because there was an fault in how the employees on February 14 entered it. An associates date was scheduled for today Feb 17 betwixt 8 and 12. By 1 p.m. I fabricated phone calls to North American Logistics (subcontracted by IKEA to evangelize and assemble). A dispatcher stated she would phone call when she got a hold of the driver. Eventually I received a text message from one of the people who delivered boxes the mean solar day before, stating there were many problems with the trucks and it would be some three hours to arrive. Information technology is 4:30 p.m. and yet no 1 has shown upwards.

I take been trying to place an lodge for ii days now and finally decided to telephone call IKEA because I can't consummate the order online. My online problem is that one time I complete the lodge and calculate the shipping I take the selection to "begin checkout" which I do select. I then see the screen with my billing address and IKEA FAMILY carte du jour number and I exercise click the checkboxes to confirm the privacy policy and receiving emails. So I click the "relieve and go along to delivery box" which takes me dorsum to the previous screen without the shipping calculation and an fault message that reads "an unknown mistake has occurred. Please try over again later or contact customer service." So after trying all day yesterday and once again today I decided to telephone call customer service; all the same, I get a message that says "due to high call volume they tin't take my phone call!"

How am I supposed to club anything if I can't do it online and I can't speak to a customer service representative? I tin can't even leave a message that gets the order placed considering they might answer to this electronic mail within 48-72 hours and the auction ends 2/18/2019. I might exist able to complete the transaction if I opted to go to the closest location and choice the order upwardly myself; however, that's a 220-mile roundtrip taking a minimum of 4 hours and at least $18 worth of gas plus clothing and tear on my vehicle. Sad that I can't consummate the club online AND get it delivered!! And I sent them two email letters because their system did not send me an acknowledgment of my commencement message and perchance it isn't gear up up to do and so. This is Not customer service!!! This is a disservice to EVERYONE who would like to shop with IKEA just tin't.
